About Dayara Bugyal Trek
Dayara bugyal is perched at an altitude of 3048 meters above sea level offering a splendid view of the Himalayan range. ‘Bugyal’ literally translates as ‘high altitude meadow’ in regional language. This vast meadow is second to none in terms of natural beauty in Uttrakhand. Spread over an area spanning 28 square kilometers, Dayara bugyal offers some of the best ski slopes in India during the winters. The road to Dayara bugyal branches off near Bhatwari palace on the Gangotri road, about 28 km from Uttarkashi. Dayara can be reached via trek(8 km) or via village Rathil which is 10km from Bhatwari.
